Refund and Cancellation Policy

Cancelling

You may cancel at any time, for any reason, without giving one. Write to the address below, or use the cancellation link in your billing receipt. Cancellation stops the next charge. Access continues to the end of the period you have already paid for. There is no cancellation fee and no minimum term.

Monthly subscriptions

If you cancel within 14 days of your first payment, that first payment is refunded in full. After 14 days, cancelling stops future charges and the month already in progress is not refunded, because access to it continues until it ends.

Annual subscriptions

If you cancel within 30 days of an annual payment, it is refunded in full. After 30 days, a pro-rated refund is given for whole months not yet used, counted from the end of the month in which you cancel.

Refunds given regardless of timing

Independent of the windows above, a full refund is given if you were charged in error, charged twice, charged after cancelling, or if the data you subscribed for was not available to you for a substantial part of your billing period. If a figure central to your subscription proves materially wrong against the issuing government body's own file, say so and a refund will be considered on the same footing.

How refunds are paid

Refunds go back to the card or account that was charged, through the payment processor. Requests are acknowledged within two business days and issued within five, after which the processor's and your bank's own timelines apply.

Chargebacks

If something is wrong with a charge, writing in is faster than a chargeback and there is no argument about it. Please try that first.
