Terms of Service
The agreement that applies when you use this site or subscribe to it.
Effective August 16 2026. This version replaces any earlier one.
1. What this service is
Contracts Near Me reads procurement and payment files published by government bodies and reports, by trade and by state, how much was spent, which agencies spent it and which companies were paid. That is the entire service. Access to that reporting is what a subscription buys.
2. What this service is not
- It is not legal, financial, accounting or bidding advice.
- It does not represent you before any agency and does not prepare, submit or negotiate bids.
- It makes no promise, prediction or estimate about whether you will win work, be awarded a contract, or be paid.
- It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any government body named on the site.
3. Accuracy and the source of truth
Every figure published here is computed from a file released by the government body that holds the record. Those files are the source of truth. Where a figure on this site disagrees with the issuing body's own file, the issuing body's file governs and this site is wrong. Source files are named on the method page, and government bodies revise, restate and re-release them without notice.
Figures are reported per state and per fiscal year and are never combined across states, because the states do not classify spending the same way. Virginia records an official commodity code on each purchase-order line. Florida does not, so the trade is inferred from the paid company's name, which undercounts firms whose registered name does not state their trade. Both conditions are labelled wherever a figure appears. No figure on this site is an estimate, a projection or a model.
4. Subscription, billing and cancellation
Subscriptions are billed in advance, either monthly or annually, at the prices shown on the pricing page at the time you subscribe. Payment is handled by a third-party payment processor; card details are never received or stored by this site. A subscription renews automatically for the same term until cancelled. You may cancel at any time and cancellation takes effect at the end of the period already paid for, after which no further charge is made. Prices may change, but a change never applies to a term already paid for, and notice is given before a renewal at a new price.
5. Acceptable use
A subscription is for one business. You may use what you find here in your own business freely, including in bids and proposals. You may not resell, redistribute or republish the site's compiled pages, its rankings or its bulk output as a competing product or data feed, and you may not use automated means to extract the site wholesale. None of this restricts the underlying government records themselves, which are public and which you are free to obtain directly from the sources named on the method page.
6. Availability
No uptime guarantee is offered. The service depends on files that government bodies publish on their own schedules; when a source is delayed, withdrawn or changed, the corresponding reporting may be delayed or removed.
7. Limitation of liability
The service is provided as it is, without warranty of any kind, including any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or accuracy or completeness of the underlying government data. To the fullest extent the law allows, liability for any claim arising out of the service is limited to the amount you paid for it in the twelve months before the claim, and there is no liability for lost profits, lost business, lost bids or other indirect or consequential loss. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
8. Changes and governing law
These terms may be updated; the effective date above changes when they are. Continued use after an update is acceptance of it. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, United States.
9. Contact
Questions, corrections and cancellation requests go through the contact page.
